Civil War Era John Bliss Nautical Binoculars, eyepieces are marked ''JOHN BLISS & CO./NEW YORK. Overall condition is very good, the original black finish has mostly thinned, exposing the brass. There are small specks of green paint scattered on the body. The manual focus turns smoothly but once extended the lenses have a slight wobble. Dust is visible on the interior and will need to be cleaned. Slits and indentations have been made in the body on either side of the focus wheel. Est.: $50-$100.
