Antique Belgian Dresse-LaLoux & Cie Muzzleloading Exposed Hammer Percussion Side-by-Side Shotgun, #NVSN, 12 ga., blue and color case hardened finish, smooth walnut one-piece straight grip stock, ending with smooth iron butt plate, providing a 14.5'' LOP. Shotgun also features a steel bead front sight, double triggers, and exposed hammers. Most markings were removed but there are sharp Dresse-LaLoux ''insect'' markings on both sides of the receiver. Mfg'd circa late-19th century. Shotgun is in fair condition with the metal surfaces gone to dark patina, showing surface erosion and significant pitting, wear and damage at the breech and around the nipples. Sideplates show traces of silvered color case hardened finish, with a replacement hammer on the left side. Stock is in good condition with impressions and bruising consistent with years of field use. Full-length wooden ramrod features a brass tip. Buttplate is proud at the toe due to shrinkage. Bores are dark and the action is inoperable on this interesting, old shotgun that is best served as a wall hanger. Est.: $200-$400. (Antique)
