Winchester Model 62A Slide Action Rifle, #139541, .22 S-L-LR cal., 23'' round barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut straight grip stock and grooved forend, checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate, factory dovetailed silver bead blade front sight, rear sight has been removed and dovetail filled with a Marble's sight blank. An adjustable Lyman sight has been added to the upper tang. Factory markings are sharp, with Winchester ''WP'' proofs on the barrel and receiver. Matching numbers on the receiver and lower tang. Mfg'd 1941. Rifle is in fine overall condition, retaining approx. 92% factory finish, with wear at the muzzle and a few spots of wear along the barrel. Receiver with an area on the right side that shows aggressive cleaning and scratches. Buttstock with scattered light indentations and handling marks. Forend with only minor handling marks. Action functions smoothly and locks up securely. Bore is near excellent with well-defined rifling. Est.: $500-$800. (C&R/PPT)
