Winchester Model 1906 Slide Action Rifle, #468977, .22 S-L-LR cal., 20'' round barrel, blue finish, takedown, smooth straight grip gumwood stock and 12-groove forend, checkered hard rubber Winchester buttplate, factory dovetailed blade front and standard ''U''-notch rear sight with elevation adjustment screw. There is a light Winchester ''WP'' proof stamped on the front ring. Mfg'd 1915. Rifle is in very good overall condition. Barrel retains approx. 94%-95% thinning finish and may be a later replacement. Receiver and magazine tube display traces of original finish in the protected areas, with the remainder worn to gray with areas of brown patina. Buttstock with general, mostly small to medium sized indentations and scratches. Forend is near fine, with minor indentations. Action functions, but is stiff, and would benefit from thorough cleaning. Bore is good with some light erosion and defined rifling. Est.: $300-$400. (C&R/PPT)
