^Lot 436 Marlin Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine

Marlin Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine, #442780, .25-20 cal., 20'' round barrel with half magazine, blued with case hardened lever, saddle ring, straight grip walnut stock and forend, fixed blade front sight, and folding carbine ladder rear sight. Mfg'd circa 1930. Carbine is in overall good condition as un-cleaned, displaying traces of thinning and toning factory blue in the protected areas, with the balance gone to a gray/brown patina, with scattered light to moderate pinprick pitting confined to the barrel in front of the band. Lever has toned to silver. Factory markings are clear. Forend has been sanded and refinished over old moderate dents and scratches. Buttstock has been replaced and appears near new. Action is crisp and functions smoothly. Bore is fair with considerable frosting throughout; rifling is visible but soft. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R/PPT)
