Manhattan Five-Shot Percussion Bar Hammer Pepperbox Pistol, #349, .28 cal., 3'' barrel assembly, originally blued, smooth two-piece hardwood bag shaped grips, no front or rear sights. Barrel is marked ''CAST STEEL''. Left side of the hammer is marked in two-lines ''MANHATTAN F.A. MFG. CO./NEW YORK''. Sides and back of the frame with simple, yet tasteful scroll engraving. Mfg'd circa mid-late 1850's. Condition is good as un-cleaned, displaying a silver/brown patina throughout. Factory lettering and engraving are clear. Grips are near fine, showing moderate age and wear. Action functions well. Bores are worn. Est.: $200-$300. (Antique)
