Colt Model 1849 Percussion Revolver, #20722, .31 cal., 5'' octagon barrel, blue and case hardened finish with silver plated brass trigger guard and backstrap, smooth walnut grips, brass dot front and fixed ''V''-notch rear sight. Serial numbers are matching, including the barrel wedge. Mfg'd 1851. Revolver is in overall good condition, displaying an even dark toning to the blued/case colored parts, with freckles of mild pitting scattered throughout; approx. 30% silver to the trigger guard/backstrap. Grips fit nicely to this gun and are overall good, showing scattered old mars and scratches, while retaining much of their finish. Markings are clear, including approx. 70% cylinder Stagecoach scene. Action crisp is crisp and functions smoothly. Bore rates good with defined rifling and scattered light erosion. Est.: $500-$700. (Antique)
