Colt Model 1861 Navy Percussion Revolver, #6481, .36 cal., 7.5'' round barrel, no finish, brass trigger guard/backstrap, smooth walnut grips, missing front blade sight, with ''V''-notched rear sight located on the hammer. The barrel address is correct for this Model. Mfg'd 1862. The overall condition of this revolver is fair, with an even gray patina, scattered old nicks and mars. Grips are good, showing moderate age and wear, with pleasing grain patterns, and thin piece missing from back edge on the right side. Both sides show shrinkage, leaving the edge of the frame visible. The action is not working and may be missing parts. Barrel wedge is missing, wedge screw is damaged, plus the trigger guard screws and base backstrap screw are replacements. Bore is fair with visible rifling, and scattered light to moderate erosion. Est.: $400-$700. (Antique)
