Argentine Model 1879 Remington Rolling Block Single Shot Rifle, #NVSN, .43 Spanish cal., 36'' barrel with bayonet lug, blued with case hardened receiver, straight grip walnut stock and forend with three barrel bands, fixed inverted-''V'' front sight, and adjustable rear sights, with ramrod. Marked on the top barrel flat near the breech ''MODELO ARGENTINO . 1879 E.N.'' Rifle is in overall very good to fine condition, displaying most of its blue finish, with mild frosting and patina to the barrel. Case colors show general muting and toning and are strongest on the sides. Factory lettering is legible. Buttstock and forend are very good+, with pleasing hardwood grain patterns, scattered mostly moderate dents and scratches, including a few more noticeable impressions along the ramrod channel. Additionally, there are three ''kill notches'' on bottom of the wrist. Action is crisp. Bore is fine with well-defined rifling. Est.: $500-$700. (Antique)
