Springfield Armory U.S. Model 1898 Krag Bolt Action Rifle, serial #413466, .30-40 Krag cal., 30'' barrel, blue finish, walnut stock, front sight base only, with model 1902 ''U''-notch adjustable rear sight. Receiver is marked ''U.S.'' over ''MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY 413466'' on the left side. Barrel is unmarked. Front sight blade is missing and a .25'' piece of the receiver is broken on the bottom where the hinge bar locks. Rifle is in good condition. Blued finish has turned to patina with scattered rust, heavy on the receiver and trigger guard; bolt handle is pitted. Stock is very good, has a faint circled ''P'' behind the trigger guard, and shows moderate wear, with scattered mostly light handling marks throughout. Action works properly. Bore is fair with erosion and pitting throughout. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
