Turkish Model 1938 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #207297, 8x57mm cal., 29.25'' barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock and handguard, dovetailed inverted-''V'' front sight, and adjustable tangent rear sight with ''V''-notch, graduated to 2000 meters. Steel cleaning rod is missing. Top of the receiver ring is marked ''TC/ASFA/(Turkish crest)/ANKARA/K.KALE/1945''. Bolt handle and floorplate do not match; other visible numbers are matching. Import marked on right side of the barrel. Condition overall is good, retaining approx. 70% thinning and toning blue, showing areas of brown toning. Wood is good with scratches and handling marks typically associated with service use. Action functions well. The first 10'' down from the muzzle rates poor with visible surface rust; balance is bright with good rifling. Est.: $250-$400. (C&R/PPT)
