British No.4 Mk 1 Lee Enfield Bolt Action Rifle, #AB13618,.303 British cal., 25.2'' two-groove barrel, blackened finish, hardwood stock set with handguard, blade front sight with protectors, and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with aperture and battle sight, graduated to 1300 yards. Includes cardboard shipping box with matching number on the flap and contains an owner's manual and safety information. Box and paperwork with oil staining. Made by the Maltby Royal Ordnance Factory, rifle is marked ''No.4 Mk 1'' and ''1942'', it later went through an arsenal rebuild where new wood was installed and the metal was given a blackened finish. New buttstock is stamped ''SOU/2 1 52'' with two five-pointed stars. There is a Royal Army Ordnance Corp. storage tag attached to the front sight. A size ''O'' bolt head is fitted to the bolt body. Matching numbers with magazine having been renumbered to match. Import marked on left side of the receiver. Condition overall is fine, retaining over 95% blackened finish, showing intermittent light handling marks. Wood is very good with an even color, handling marks, and a few scratches to left side of the forend. Action operates smoothly. Bright bore rates excellent with well-defined rifling. Est.: $400-$600.
