Australian No.1 Mk III* Lee Enfield Bolt Action Rifle, #B96654, .303 British cal., 25.2'' barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock set and handguard, blade front sight with protectors, and adjustable tangent rear sight with ''U''-notch, graduated to 2000 yards. Marked ''MA/LITHGOW/S.M.LE./III*/1941'' on right side action body. Right side of the buttstock with ''(Store's Code)(Lithgow Arsenal shield)/ (illegible date)/III*/5 44''. Buttstock forend are numbered but do not match. Matching numbers on the bolt handle and nose cap. Import marked on right side of the receiver. Condition overall is good, retaining approx. 50%-60% thinning and toning blue, showing general age and wear. Wood with numerous mostly small to medium sized dents and scratches throughout. A 1.25'' red band has been painted on the buttstock, behind the wrist. Action operates smoothly. Bright bore rates excellent with well-defined rifling.Est.: $300-$500. (C&R/PPT)
