Early Smith & Wesson Model 28 (No Dash) Highway Patrolman Double Action Revolver, #S191458, .357 Mag. cal., 4'' pinned barrel, blue finish, diamond center checkered walnut two-piece Magna grips with S&W medallions, 4-screw frame, serrated ramped blade front sight, micro adjustable square-notch rear sight, with color case hardened hammer and trigger. Mfg'd 1959. Revolver is in near fine overall condition, retaining approx 92%-93% toning factory finish, with holster wear at the muzzle and along the barrel. Cylinder shows leading edge wear and thinning finish, with a moderate index line. Hammer and trigger display muted color case hardened finish. Grips with light indentations, showing minor flattening of the checkering. Action functions smoothly and locks up securely. Bore is very good with light erosion at the breech and defined rifling.
