Lot 353 Scarce Marlin Model 90 Over/Under .410 Shotgun
Scarce Marlin Model 90 Over/Under .410 Shotgun, #839, 26'' barrels with 3'' chambers, fixed IM/Mod chokes, and silver bead front sight. Metal with a blued finish, both sides of the receiver are lightly factory engraved with a ''Pointer'' standing in grass. Smooth pistol grip walnut stock and forend with ventilated brown rubber White Line recoil pad; LOP to end of deteriorating pad is 14-1/2'', 13-1/4'' to end of wood. Shotgun also features double triggers, automatic safety, and extractors. Condition is fair, showing general age and wear from field use. Approx. 70% thinning and toning blue remains, showing carry wear at bottom of the receiver. There are spots of moderate rust along the barrel, particularly within the first 8'' down from the muzzle. Engraving and factory lettering is clear. Wood with several dents and scratches, as well as a 1.25'' crack to the bottom of the forend, adjacent the receiver. Recoil pad has hardened with age and is deteriorating. Action functions properly and well-used, feeling just a little loose. Bores are bright and in excellent condition. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R/PPT)
