Lot 348 Parker VH Grade Side-by-Side Hammerless Shotgun

Parker VH Grade Side-by-Side Hammerless Shotgun, #81068. 12 ga., 30'' twist steel barrels have 2-5/8'' chambers and are choked Full/Full. The action is standard Parker, with lockup via single underlug and doll's head extension, and features double triggers, automatic safety, and plain extractors. The receiver includes border engraving and some additional enhancements for beauty. The splinter forend appears original and heavily used; the pistol grip buttstock appears much newer, uses ''B'' grade walnut, with a Gutta Percha grip cap and 1-1/2'' recoil pad to achieve 14-1/2'' LOP. Originally Mfg'd by Parker in 1895. Condition is good-very good. Barrels are mostly gray, with some moderate rust patina located primarily within 6'' down from the muzzle, and heavier on the right barrel. Receiver and trigger guard have been refinished, over intermittent mild pitting; approx. 80%- 85% case hardening remains, with much of the finish worn from the trigger guard tang. Factory lettering remains clear. Action does close tight and functions correctly; bores are primarily bright with some moderate fouling near the chambers. Est.: $600-$800. (Antique)
