Early Custom Three-Digit DWM Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with 6'' Barrel, #479, .30 Luger cal., 6'' tapered pencil barrel, rust blued finish, straw colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, dovetailed blade front sight, fixed V-notched rear sight, with grip safety. Right grip has had a finger groove added to the front edge. Includes one period unmarked magazine with wood base. Pistol is marked ''DWM'' on the toggle. No proof marks and the chamber is blank. Upper safety position is unmarked, lower position is polished. Takedown lever does not match. Other visible numbers are matching, including the back of each grip; barrel serial number has been restamped, with the original ''9'' at the end of the original number still slightly visible. Pistol is in excellent overall condition as professionally restored, retaining approx. 98% blue, with a few minor scratches on the barrel and small 1/8'' scratch on top of the chamber. Straw colors are strong and nearly all remain. Bluing on the grip screws is bright. Serial numbers and DWM logo on the toggle are crisp. Grips are fine and in their original condition, showing moderate age and wear. Action operates smoothly and hold open functions properly. Bore is mirror bright with excellent rifling. Magazine shows moderate age and wear, body with intermittent dark freckling. Est.: $2,000-$2,500. (C&R)
