Box is in poor condition, missing pieces, and the bullets show oxidation. Case also has a fitted compartment for and includes two (2) additional period magazines with wood bases. Pistol is in good condition, retaining approx. 40%-45% thinning and toning blue, the balance having a primarily smooth gray appearance. Factory lettering, American Eagle emblem, and numbering is clear. Straw colors have worn to approx. 15%, showing specks of darkening, salt and pepper blemishes on the thumb safety. Grips show age and smoothing of checkering that is consistent with the overall wear on the rest of the pistol. Action and hold open function well; although the main spring feels just a little weak. Rifling shows heavy wear, now scarcely visible, and there is light pitting scattered throughout the bore. Case is very good, showing moderate age and wear, interior and exterior would benefit from thorough cleaning. Additional magazines are in very good and fair condition. One showing moderate age and wear. The other magazine has a cracked base and has been sanded. Est.: $1,200-$1,500. (C&R/PPT)
