DWM 1908 Commercial Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol, #40682, 9mm cal., 4'' barrel, rust blued finish, straw colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, inverted-"V" front sight, and fixed rear sight with "V"-notched groove. Includes one unmarked tin plated magazine with wood base. Pistol is marked ''DWM'' on the toggle. Left side of receiver marked ''(crown)B'' and ''(crown)U''. Upper safety position is marked ''GESICHERT'', lower position is blank. Underside of the barrel is marked with ''(crown)B'', ''(crown)U'', and ''(crown)G'' proofs. Metal parts with visible matching numbers. Back of left grip is stamped ''8''; right grip ''9''. Pistol is in near excellent overall condition, retaining approx. 93%-95% blue with wear primarily at muzzle, sideplate, and bottom of the grip frame. Straw colors are approx. 75%-80%, showing thinning and toning. Grips display light age and wear with crisp checkering. Action operates smoothly; this pistol does not have a hold open device. Bore is bright with well-defined rifling. Magazine shows moderate wear. Est.: $1,800-$2,200. (C&R)
