Chinese Marked C96 Mauser Broomhandle Semi-Automatic Pistol, #907039, .30 Mauser cal., 5.5'' barrel, blued finish, grooved hardwood grips, inverted-''V'' front sight, and adjustable tangent rear sight with ''V''-notch, graduated to 1000 meters. Backstrap is slotted for a shoulder stock and a loose lanyard ring is mounted to the butt. Marked with a ''MAUSER'' logo on left side of the frame and ''WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/OBERNDORF A.NECKAR/D.R.P.u.A.P. on the right side. Top of the chamber is marked ''WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A/N''. With simple Chinese characters on the right side below the chamber. Numbers do not match. No visible import marks. Condition overall is very good, retaining approx. 70% thinning and toning blue, with light pitting to the front and backstrap. Grips show signs of moderate age and handling wear. Action functions smoothly but the safety is not functioning properly and needs to be repaired prior to firing. Bore rates fair to good, showing more than average wear to the rifling, which is common for these pistols. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (C&R/PPT)
