British No.4 Mk 2 Irish Contract Lee Enfield Bolt Action Rifle with Transport Chest, Matching Bayonet, and Extra Magazines, #PF337618, .303 British cal., 25.2'' barrel, blackened finish, birch stock set with handguard, blade front sight with protectors, adjustable folding leaf rear sight with aperture and battle sight, graduated to 1300 meters. Rifle is marked ''No. 4 Mk2(F) 1/55 PF337618'' on left side of the receiver. Matching numbers. Bolt is fitted with #1 bolt head. Import stamped on right side of the barrel. Bayonet was made by the Singer Company and is marked ''G(Crown)R/No 4 Mk II/SM'' on left side of the socket, with matching serial number stamped on the right side. Condition is excellent. Reproduction wooden transport chest (with original hardware) is marked ''CHEST SA No15 Mk 1''. Condition is excellent, made with high quality workmanship and combination of original and modern materials. Rare arsenal sealed pack of 5 magazine assemblies is in excellent condition; paper wrapping is dated ''19 MAR 1946''. Includes a green cotton Belgian army sling, in very good used condition. Rifle is in excellent condition, retaining approx. 97% finish. Wood is excellent with a few light handling marks. Action operates smoothly. Bright bore rates excellent with well-defined rifling.
