Colt U.S. Army Model 1911 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #175717 .45 ACP cal., 5'' barrel, parkerized finish, checkered plastic grips, blade front sight, and ''U''-notch rear sight. Includes one ''C-S'' marked magazine. Pistol was made in 1917 and rebuilt for WWII. Receiver is marked ''UNITED STATES PROPERTY'' with ''AA'' (Augusta Arsenal), and ''GHS'' (Maj. Gilbert H. Stewart) on the left side; ''No 175717'' is marked on the right side. Slide has the Colt patents to ''Aug. 19, 1913'' with ''COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO./HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.'' and a ''(Rampant Colt)'' at the back on the left side; ''MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY'' with ''COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 45'' is on the right side. Pistol is in near excellent overall condition. Arsenal re-parkerized finish is approx. 95% with light wear, and some of the markings are faint. Grips are near excellent. Action works properly. Barrel has a very good bore and is primarily bright, with a little mild frosting in the grooves, and sharp rifling. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (C&R/PPT)
