^Lot 258 Remington-Lee Model 1899 Commercial Bolt Action Rifle

Remington-Lee Model 1899 Commercial Bolt Action Rifle, #101354 .30-40 Krag cal., 29'' barrel, blued finish, walnut stock, blade front sight, and ''V''-notch rear sight. Rear sight is missing the slide, the upper band is missing the screw, and the .30 caliber magazine has areas of rust. Receiver is marked ''REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION N.Y.'' over the patent dates to ''Jan 18, 1887''. Rifle is in good condition. Blued finish is 75% on the receiver and barrel, but the trigger housing has overall patina with light pitting. Stock is fair, with scattered marks, thick coat of varnish. There is a crack visible on top of the wrist and left side below the receiver, which appears to have been repaired. Buttplate is pitted. Action works properly. Barrel is marked ''30 U.S.A'' in front of the rear band and has a fair bore, with light pitting throughout. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (C&R)
