This is an original carbine, not a cut down rifle. Receiver is marked ''E. REMINGTON & SONS ILION N.Y. U.S.A./SOLE MANUFACTURERS AND AGENTS'' on the left side. Magazine is two-position and unmarked. Correct carbine rear sight is installed. Rifle is in good condition. Metal is mostly patina, with light rust on the barrel. Stock is in good condition, with dents and scratches throughout, and the buttplate has pitting. Action works properly. Bore is good with defined rifling but light pitting throughout.
