Winchester First Model Hotchkiss Bolt Action Carbine, #11785, .45-70 cal., 24'' barrel, blued finish, walnut stock, blade front sight, and ''V''-notch rear sight. Receiver is marked on the left side ''MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN CONN.U.S.A.'' over the patent dates to ''JAN. 18th 1877''. Rifle is in good condition. Blue finish is very good on the trigger plate but worn on the receiver and barrel. Stock is solid and in very good condition, with light handling marks, and a stain behind the wrist. Action works properly. Barrel has a good bore with defined rifling, and areas of light pitting. Est.: $2,000-$3,000. (Antique)
