Scarce Colt Gold Cup Elite 40 National Match Semi-Automatic Pistol, #079GCE40, .40 S&W cal., 5'' barrel, blued slide, stainless steel frame, smooth hardwood grips with Colt medallions, Patridge front sight, adjustable square-notched rear sight, with one stainless Colt magazine, and one stainless Kimber 1911 magazine. Left side of the slide is marked ''GOLD CUP ELITE 40 / -COLT CALIBER .40 S&W-'' Mfg'd 1991. It is believed that these pistols were part of a special order for Accusport and that only 250 were produced. Condition is very good, retaining approx. 98% factory blue on the slide, which shows intermittent light handling marks. There are scuffs and rub wear to the front edge of the frame, along front of the trigger guard, and down the front grip strap. Factory lettering is sharp. Left grips shows typical light handling wear; right grip with scattered small indentations, particularly around the medallion and upper screw. Action functions smoothly.
