Engraved Arrieta Model 600-1 ''Tiro'' Sidelock Side-by-Side Shotgun, #34438, 12ga., 30'' barrels have a solid rib, 2-3/4'' chambers, and are choked Full and MOD. The 7-pin sidelock action with side clips, uses a double underlug lockup and utilizes a non-selective single trigger (left hand always first), non-automatic safety, and selective ejectors. The coin-finished silver receiver is very highly engraved with ducks rising on the left side, landing on the right side, and features a dog holding a duck on the bottom. Opening lever and trigger guard are deep blue; trigger guard with gold inlaid Arrieta y Cia. signature fleur-de-lis. The medium size forend and full pistol grip buttstock are satin-finished ''C'' grade walnut, with Wundhammer swell, extensive hand checkering at 22 LPI and a black Pachmayr ''Old English'' recoil pad. The stock dimensions are 14'' x 1-7/8'' x 2-1/2''. Manufactured in 1986 and imported into the US by Hi-Grade Imports. The gun is contained in a leather Pachmayr hard case. Condition is excellent, retaining approx. 98%-99% deep blue finish. Coin finished receiver is excellent with crisp engraving; right sidelock with minor specks of oxidation at the rear. Wood is highly figured and displays a few light handling marks; color on the right side is a little light adjacent the recoil pad. The sidelock action and internal operation of the mechanism assures the shooter that the tight tolerances will continue to support the shoot. All the metal components function perfectly, and the bores are mirror bright. Includes a copy of a period Arrieta brochure and correspondence with the importer.
