Perazzi MX-8 SCO ''Diana, Goddess of the Hunt'' Over/Under Trap Shotgun, with additional full length small bore tubes for skeet, #60643. 12 ga., 29-1/2'' vent rib barrels have a total of nine (9) choke tubes, for different applications, with a wide 7/16'' vent rib and target beads, chambers are 2-3/4''; includes a count of eleven (11) different small bore choke tubes. The Perazzi trigger plate action includes lockup by dual underlugs, plus additional features, including non- selective mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety, selective ejectors. Beautifully engraved in a collection of three ''Diana, Goddess Of The Hunt'' motifs, with very fine surrounding rose and scroll features all done by Italian engraver ''Pasotti''. The trigger guard, opening lever, and forend iron are blued and similarly engraved. The beavertail forend with finger slots, full pistol grip, and adjustable cheekpiece are all of high gloss exhibition grade European Walnut, with thorough checkering at 22 LPI and a thick ''Kick-Eez'' recoil pad. Stock dimensions are variable, due to adjustable cheekpiece, and trigger. The gun was completed in Italy in 1989 and now resides in a very sturdy aluminum case with cloth protection, including all choke tubes, barrel tubes, insertion and removal tools, and instructions from both Perazzi and Briley for maintenance. Condition of the gun is excellent, retaining approx. 98% factory blue. Engraving is highly detailed and stunning. Wood with a few scattered light marks from handling and use, predominantly on the cheekpiece and bottom edge of the buttstock. With nominal wear to the action, which closes very tight and functions correctly. The gun is a bit heavy, but it is designed to absorb recoil over long periods of competition.
