L. Ernst Engraved Browning Superposed Pointer Grade Super-Light Over/Under Shotgun, #40610S75. 12 ga., 26-1/2'' vent rib barrels have 2-3/4'' chambers and are choked MOD/FULL. The Browning boxlock action uses a single underlug lockup, and features a single selective mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety, and selective ejectors. The receiver is finished in silver gray, and features a setter on the left side, pointer on the right, and partridge on the bottom; the game scenes are surrounded by rose and scroll engraving, a pheasant on the trigger guard, and other misc. engraving done on the top and bottom tangs plus forend iron. All engraving done by FN engraver L. Ernst, The slender forend with a Schnabel nosepiece and the straight grip buttstock are of high-gloss ''C'' grade European walnut, and feature hand checkering at 22 LPI and an original Browning black buttplate. Stock dimensions are 14-1/2'' x 1-1/2'' x 2-3/8''. Gun is contained in the original box, with owner's manual. Made by FN in Belgium for Browning in 1975. Condition is excellent, appearing like new, showing almost no handling marks to wood and virtually no wear to the action, which is not broken in but closes very tight and functions correctly; bores are mirror bright.
