Beautiful Master Engraved Belgian Browning ''Broadway Trap'' Midas Grade Over/Under Shotgun, Signed M. Magis, #6836S69. 12 ga., 32'' barrels have a wide 5/8'' trap vent rib, target beads, 2-3/4'' chambers, and chokes measuring IM/Full. The action is typical Browning superposed, with a large single underlug for lockup, single selective inertial trigger, and selective ejectors. The blued receiver has deep relief scroll engraving, with gold inlaid ducks and pheasants on frame sides and a quail on the bottom; plus, gold ovals containing the rising birds. All engraving, including surrounding scroll work, done by M. Magis of FN in Belgium; signed on left side of the receiver. The finger groove beavertail forend and flat knob pistol grip buttstock are of high gloss presentation grade walnut, with elaborate checkering done at 24 LPI and a Browning ''White Line'' trap recoil pad attached. Stock dimensions are 14-1/2'' x 1-3/8'' x 1-5/8''. Mfg'd in 1969 by FN in Belgium for Browning. Condition is near excellent, showing light use, retaining approx. 97%-98% factory blue, with a few marks and spots of wear along the edge of the barrel rib. Engraving and gold inlay are beautifully done and remain sharp. Wood rates fine with outstanding figure to the buttstock, which has a few shallow dents and scratches, primarily on the left side. Right side of the forend also has one more noticeable mar to the wood. The action functions smoothly and does close very tight, however with little wear to the standing breech face and correct function of the operation process. Bores are mirror bright.
