W.W. Greener Facile Princeps Hammerless Grade F.H. 50, Side-by-Side Shotgun, #66455. 20 ga., 28'' matted rib barrels have 2-9/16'' chambers and are choked IC/FULL. The rib is marked ''W.W. Greener, Maker. 29 Pall Mal. London S.W.'' The action utilizes two underlugs plus a greener crossbolt lockup, and features double triggers, non-automatic external safety, and selective ejectors. The receiver, forend iron and top tang are case hardened, trigger guard and bottom tang are blued. The receiver is engraved with very fine rose and scroll designs. Lower tang is marked ''Grade F.H. 50''. The splinter forend and straight grip buttstock are highly-finished ''C'' grade walnut, and feature a bone forend tip, brass oval for later engraving, and a composite checkered buttplate. Stock dimensions are 14'' x 1-3/8'' x 2''. Mfg'd prior to 1927.Condition is overall fine. Barrels have been professionally refinished and retain approx. 98% blue; 50% original case colors. Wood with few handling marks, retaining nearly all the gloss finish, but there is a slight .75'' crack on the left hand side; from receiver to safe switch. The action is likewise in very good condition, closing tight and usually ejecting the shells; bores are mirror bright. There is an occasional malfunction of the right hand ejector and can be correctly repaired by a qualified gunsmith. Est.: $3,500-$4,500. (C&R/PPT)
