Shiloh Sharps Model 1874 Single Shot Rifle, #9969, .45-90 (.45 2 4/10) cal; 30" octagonal barrel with blue finish and sling stud. Top of barrel flat is marked "Shiloh-Sharps Model 1874", "CALIBRE 45", and "2 4/10''. Receiver, lever, and hammer with a color case hardened finish; left side is marked "SHILOH RIFLE MFG. CO. / BIG TIMBER, MT". Pistol grip walnut stock with checkered lower tang, hard rubber shotgun buttpad, sling stud and forend with Schnabel tip; LOP: 14-1/4". Sights include globe front and Lee Shaver Mid-Range Soule tang sight with Hadley eye cup. The barrel sight has been removed and scope mounting blocks have been added. Rifle also features double-set triggers. Matching numbered barrel. Overall weight is approx. 10 lbs. 6 oz. Includes an additional Shiloh 26'' octagon barrel in .45-70 (.45 2 2/10). Barrel is serialized to the rifle and the front/rear sights have been removed, leaving open dovetails. Rifle is in excellent overall condition. Barrel retains approx. 97%+ original factory blue. Case colors are vibrant and show minimal wear. Wood with only light marks from handling and use. Action operates smoothly and double-set triggers function properly. Bore is mirror bright with excellent rifling. Additional .45-70 barrel retains approx.97%+ factory blue. Bore is bright with well-defined rifling. Per consignor, the rifle was originally fitted with the .45-70 barrel and was sent to Shiloh to have the .45-90 barrel installed.Lot includes RCBS 45-90 reloading dies and 45 pieces of primed 45-90 Starline brass.
