Beautiful Custom Engraved Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Rifle, #75071, .22 S-L-LR cal., 24'' round barrel, blue finish, finely checkered deluxe walnut pistol grip stock and forend, ending with a checkered blue steel shotgun buttplate. Dovetailed blade front and standard elevator ''U''-notch rear sight. Receiver with extensive fine scroll and border engraving with game scene panels on both sides; silver inlaid ram on the left side; silver inlaid flying duck on the right side. The scroll engraving around both panels are highlighted in silver. No visible engraver's mark or signature but it is of professional quality. Factory markings are clear with Winchester ''WP'' proof on the barrel at the breech. Mfg'd 1946. Rifle is in excellent condition as engraved and refinished, retaining approx. 98% of professional reblued finish, with minor marks and light wear around the forend. Wood is in excellent condition, with sharp checkering detail and attractive figure in the buttstock. Action functions well and locks up securely. Bore is bright throughout with defined rifling.
