Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine, #922436, .30-30 W.C.F. cal., 20'' round barrel, blued finish, straight grip hardwood stock and forend, crescent steel buttplate, saddle ring, pinned blade front sight, and folding carbine ladder rear sight.Mfg'd 1920. Carbine is in excellent condition. Barrel and receiver retain approx. 97% deep blue finish, showing a few small spots of flaking near the receiver and upper tang. Factory markings and Winchester proof marks on both the barrel and receiver are sharp. Barrel address along the left side is a little soft. Buttplate shows thinning and mild patina on the lower half. Wood with beautiful grain patterns in the buttstock, which also has a few minor handling marks, finish is strong. Wood to metal fit is excellent. Action is crisp and functions smoothly. Bore rates excellent and is bright throughout with well-defined rifling. Est.: $1,500-$2,000. (C&R/PPT)
