Marlin Model 93 Lever Action Sporting Carbine, #8746, .30-30 cal., 20'' round barrel with 3/4 magazine tube, blue and case hardened finish; straight grip walnut buttstock and forend with checkered hard rubber Marlin buttplate, and Marlin ''bullseye'' in the buttstock. Sights include a pinned blade front, semi-buckhorn rear with elevator, and Lyman 2A peep sight attached to the upper tang. Barrel has two-line address with ''Special Smokeless Steel'' below. Top of frame is marked ''MARLIN SAFETY''. Upper tang with a small ''(star)'' and ''Marlin/MODEL 93''. Mfg'd circa 1920's. Carbine is in excellent condition overall, retaining approx. 98% blue to the barrel and magazine tube, with crisp barrel address. Case colors are vibrant and perhaps 85%-90% remain, showing muting primarily along the bottom of the receiver and lever. Walnut buttstock and forend are near excellent, displaying beautiful grain patterns, retaining most of their finish, with intermittent light dents and scratches.
