Remington-Beals Navy Model Percussion Single Action Revolver, #12783, .36 cal., 7.5'' octagon barrel, originally blued with color case hardened hammer, brass trigger guard, two-piece walnut grips, cone front sight, and ''V''-shaped rear sight. Top of the barrel is marked in two-lines ''BEALS' PATENT, SEPT. 14, 1858/MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS ILION, N.Y.'' Matching visible numbers on left side of the grip frame and underside of the barrel. Condition of this revolver is antique good, no finish remains, metal now gray with scattered dark spotting, and light to moderate pinprick pitting, with some marring to both front sides of the frame and rear sides of the barrel. Barrel address is clear. Grips with intermittent handling marks and general flaking finish. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly. Bore is fair, with clearly visible rifling, scattered moderate erosion, as well as a few deeper blemishes. Est.: $700-$900. (Antique)(Michael Strietbeck Collection)
