Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Saddle Ring Carbine, #312201, .44 WCF cal., 20'' round barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut straight grip stock and forend, smooth steel crescent buttplate, pinned blade front and ladder style rear sight, with saddle ring. Factory markings are clear, with Winchester ''WP'' proof on the receiver. Mfg'd 1905. Carbine is in good overall condition, retaining traces of thinning factory finish in the protected areas with the remainder of the metal surfaces going to gray patina, intermittent spots of light erosion. There is typical contact wear around the saddle ring. Stock is in near fine condition having been lightly sanded and an extra coat of finish added, showing indentations and scratches, with the buttplate proud at the toe. Otherwise, wood to metal fit is good. Action functions well and locks up securely. Bore with shallow rifling and moderate erosion. Est.: $1,500-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
