Marlin Model 1893 Lever Action Carbine, #A1563, .30-30 cal., 20'' octagon to round barrel, blue and color case hardened finish, smooth walnut 9'' forend and straight grip stock with blue steel crescent buttplate, dovetailed German silver blade front and semi-buckhorn rear sight. Marked ''MARLIN SAFETY'' on top of the receiver and ''SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL'' on the left side of the barrel. Mfg'd 1914. Carbine is in fine condition, retaining approx. 92%-93% thinning finish on the barrel and magazine, with wear at the muzzle, scattered spots of mild surface erosion, light scratches, and small marks. Receiver and lever assembly display muted color case hardened finish, which is brighter in the protected areas, with spots of light erosion and modest edgewear. Stock is in fine condition with light scrapes and scuffs, showing areas of flaking finish, displaying a fine wood to metal fit, with some oil staining. Action is crisp and functions smoothly. Bore is fine with some areas of light erosion and well-defined rifling. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R/PPT)
