Marlin Model 1892 Lever Action Takedown Rifle, #270573, .22 cal., 24'' octagon barrel, blued with case hardened lever and hammer, straight grip walnut stock and forend, checkered hard rubber Marlin buttplate, dovetailed beaded blade front sight, semi-buckhorn elevator rear sight, and M.S.A. Co. adjustable folding peep sight located at the upper tang. Mfg'd circa 1903. Rifle is in fine condition, displaying approx. 90% blue, showing toning to the barrel, light frosting, and scratches to sides of the receiver. Case colors on the hammer have toned darker; lever is mottled and muted. Factory markings are sharp. Wood retains most of its finish, with small dents and scratches scattered throughout. Action is crisp and functions smoothly. Bore is very good with defined rifling. Right edge of the muzzle face with a moderate impression. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R/PPT)
