^Lot 96 Colt 1st Generation Single Action Army Revolver

Colt 1st Generation Single Action Army Revolver, #287778, .38-40 cal., 5.5'' barrel, blue and case colored finish, checkered two-piece hard rubber Colt grips, blade front and fixed ''V''-notch rear sight. Matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Mfg'd 1906. Revolver is in overall good condition, displaying approx. 20% blue, mainly in the protected areas, with hints of case color on the hammer, showing scattered light pitting and mars from age and use. Grips are worn but good, showing old small white and red jewel-like insets; five on each grip panel butt, with two more on each top side in the Rampant Colt logo. Factory markings are clear. Action is crisp but the cylinder does not lock into place on the third click. Bore with scattered spots of light erosion and very good rifling. Est.: $1,400-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
