Deluxe Custom Modern Engraved Colt Bisley Model Single Action Revolver, #280138, .38-40 cal., 7.5'' barrel, blued finish, polished hammer and trigger, finely grained exotic hardwood two-piece grips, with standard sights. Engraving consists of high quality scroll and vine designs set against a punch-dot background, dog's head on the left rear flat of the frame, and a wolf's head on the top right of the frame at the breech. Engraving is signed ''L.B.M.'' on the bottom front flat of the frame, above the serial number. Matching numbers on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Mfg'd 1906. This Colt Bisley is in excellent condition displaying approx. 99% of its professionally applied refinished blue, showing mild toning to the cylinder. There are a few spots of minor rust along the inside edge where the ejector rod housing touches the barrel. Additionally, there are a few spots of minor rust on the sides of the grip frame, under the grips. Both grips are in excellent condition, with a few minor handling marks. Action is crisp but is missing the 3rd click. Bore is excellent. Est.: $2,000-$3,000. (C&R/PPT)
