Remington New Model No. 4 Spur Trigger Revolver, #NVSN, .38 Short CF cal., 2.5'' round barrel without ejector rod, nickel finish, two-piece antique ivory grips, half-moon blade front sight, and small notched rear sight. Barrel address is marked in one-line ''E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y.'' Approx. 23,000 Mfg'd circa 1877-1888. Revolver is in fine overall condition, retaining approx. 95% of its original nickel finish, with a spot of flaking to the backstrap, scattered typical light handling marks. Barrel address is clear. Grips show moderate yellowing from age, with only a few minor blemishes. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly. Bore rates very good+ and has a few spots of very mild erosion. Est.: $400-$600.
