Remington New Model No. 4 Spur Trigger Revolver, #NVSN, .38 Short CF cal., 2.5'' round barrel, nickel finish, two-piece black checkered hard rubber grips, half-moon blade front sight, and small notched rear sight. Barrel address is marked in one-line ''E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y.'' Approx. 23,000 Mfg'd circa 1877-1888. Revolver is in very good overall condition, retaining approx. 80% of its original nickel finish, with some flaking and mild pitting on the receiver. Barrel address is clear. Grips show moderate signs of age and wear but have no significant blemishes. Hammer and cylinder cycle smoothly but the action needs to be repaired as the hammer will not stay at full cock.
