Remington-Elliot Single Shot Derringer, #7177, .41 RF cal., 2.5'' round barrel, blued and nickel finish, smooth hardwood two-piece grips, with small brass dot front sight. Top of the barrel is marked in two-lines ''REMINGTONS ILION, N.Y./ELLIOT. PAT. AUG. 27, 1867''. Matching numbers on bottom of the frame and barrel. Approx. 10,000 Mfg'd circa 1867-1888. Overall condition of this derringer is good, retaining approx. 98% reblued finish; barrel address remains clear. Majority of the renickled finish remains showing general small nicks, scratches, and spots of flaking. Grips are near excellent, showing signs of light age and handling wear. Action is crisp.
