Remington New Model Army Single Action Percussion Revolver, #121321, .44 cal., 8'' octagon barrel, blue finish, case hardened hammer, brass trigger guard, two-piece walnut grips, ''pinched'' blade front sight, and fixed ''V''-notch rear sight. Top of barrel is marked in three-lines "PATENTED SEPT. 14, 1858/E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION NEW YORK. U.S.A./NEW-MODEL". Matching visible numbers on left side of the grip frame, back of the cylinder, and underside of the barrel. Metal with small inspector's proofs scattered throughout. Left grip with "RH" (Robert Hosmer) inspector's cartouche. Revolver is in good condition. Metal is primarily gray with intermittent areas of brown/dark patina, showing expected marks from age and use. Factory markings and inspector's marks are clear. Grips are near fine, with scattered dents and scratches, particularly to the left panel. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly. Bore with a little mild erosion but still rates fine overall and is bright with defined rifling. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (Antique)
