Colt 1st Generation Single Action Army Revolver, #249709, .45 Colt cal., 4.75'' barrel, blued and case hardened finish, checkered black hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt logo at the top of each panel. Standard sights include a blade front and fixed ''V''-notch rear. Top of the barrel with two-line address; ''45 COLT.'' on the left side. Lower left side of the frame with two-line patent dates and ''(Rampant Colt)''. Inside of the loading gate is marked with assembly number ''9118''. Visible matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Mfg'd 1903. Revolver is in good overall condition, displaying approx. 30%-35% blue finish, with traces of color case hardening in some of the protected areas; otherwise, having a mottled light gray/brown appearance. A significant amount of nitre blue remains on the trigger. Factory markings are crisp. Grips are very good, showing moderate age and handling wear. Action is crisp with all four clicks.
