^Lot 58 Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle

Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle, #467957, .38-40 W.C.F. cal., 24'' octagon barrel, blued finish, straight grip walnut stock and forend, crescent steel buttplate, dovetailed brass blade front sight, and flat top elevator rear sight. Mfg'd 1908. Overall condition is very good, retaining approx. 40%-45% thinning and toning blue, balance is a mixture of gray/brown; with scattered light to moderate pitting confined mostly to the barrel, magazine tube, and in front of the rear sight. Buttstock with scattered moderate dents, scratches, and was likely reoiled; wrist with 2.5'' crack to the left side that does not appear to affect the stocks integrity. Forend is fine showing some flame graining to the front area, with scattered light handling marks. Factory markings are clear. Action is crisp and functions smoothly. Bore with a visible ring approx. 8'' down from the muzzle; otherwise, good with visible rifling and intermittent spots of mild erosion. Est.: $1,500-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
