Antique Colt 1st Generation Single Action Army Revolver, #27578, .45 Colt cal., 7.5'' barrel, metal with gray/brown patina, smooth walnut grips, blade front and fixed ''V''-notch rear sight. Matching numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Mfg'd 1876. Revolver is in overall good condition, displaying a gray/brown patina to the metal, with hints of case color on the hammer, showing intermittent spots of light erosion; mars from age and use. Front trigger guard tang has a small crack in front of the securing screw. Grips are very good with pleasing grain patterns, three ''hash'' marks on the upper left side grip panel and are slightly undersized to the straps. Factory markings are clear. Some of the screw head slots are marred/worn. Action is crisp with all four clicks. Bore with scattered spots of light erosion and very good, defined rifling. Est.: $1,800-$2,400. (Antique)
