Remington New Model Navy Conversion Civilian Single Action Revolver, #42900, .38 CF cal., 7-3/8'' octagon barrel, originally blued with color case hardened low spur hammer, brass trigger guard, ejector rod, single wing cylinder pin, two-piece walnut grips, ''pinched'' blade front sight, and fixed ''V''-shaped rear sight. Top of the barrel is marked in three-lines ''PATENTED SEPT. 14, 1858/E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK. U.S.A./NEW MODEL''. Matching visible numbers on left side of the grip frame and underside of the barrel. There is a ''25'' stamped into the back of each grip. Overall condition of this revolver is good, showing an even gray color to the metal, mixed with mild patina. Barrel address shows wear but legible. Grips show beautiful grain patterns, moderate age, and wear, with most of their rich oil finish. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly.
