Remington Model 1861 Navy Percussion Single Action Revolver, #1906, .36 cal., 7-3/8'' octagon barrel, originally blued with color case hardened hammer, brass trigger guard, two-piece walnut grips, cone front sight, and fixed ''V''-shaped rear sight. Loading lever with distinguishable channel that runs along the top. Top of the barrel is marked in two-lines "PATENTED DEC. 17, 1861/MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS ILION, N.Y." Matching visible numbers on left side of the grip frame and underside of the barrel. There is a small ''RS'' inspectors mark on left barrel flat and cylinder. Mfg'd circa 1861. Condition of this revolver is good, showing an even gray appearance, with mild etching to surface, case colors have toned to silver/gray. Barrel address is legible. Grips with scattered small dents and handling marks, retaining most of their finish. Action is crisp and cycles smoothly. Bore is good with clear rifling and scattered erosion. Est.: $750-$1,000.
